Aim to arrive in the morning to maximize your first day. The airport is 45 minutes from the heart of Islamabad. Spend your day getting settled in and exploring the lively F-7, which is full of numerous cafes and shops.

Catch the earliest flight to Skardu (around 2 hours), as mountain weather can often disrupt afternoon flights. Meet and greet with the driver and head towards Shangrilla to spend leisure time. After that, explore Upper Kachura Lake with different activities.

Once there, immerse yourself in the rich Balti culture at Shigar Fort and visit the breathtaking Sarfaranga Cold Desert. As one traveler remarked, the contrast of snow-capped peaks against the desert dunes in Skardu is absolutely stunning. Remember to pack layers, as temperatures in the desert can plummet dramatically after sunset.

The scenic drive from Skardu to Hunza takes about 5 to 6 hours along the iconic Karakoram Highway. Stay in Karimabad for easy access to historical landmarks.

Be sure to arrive early at Baltit Fort to beat the tour buses. Explore Altit Fort and the Royal Garden in the Hunza Valley for a cultural experience. For a spectacular view, catch the sunset at the Duikar viewpoint, but consider hiring a local driver for the challenging road conditions.

Set out early for a trip to Khunjerab Pass, the highest border crossing in the world. Remember that snow may block access from November to March. Do not miss a stop at the stunning Attabad Lake, formed by a landslide in 2010. The Crossover Hussaini Suspension Bridge will be an unforgettable experience. Just cross it if you are comfortable with heights. Visit Khunjerab Pass in the evening.

Breakfast in the hotel and travel to Nagar Valley, in the lap of Rakaposhi Peak. Short hike to the Hopar Glacier, the majestic moving glacier of Pakistan. Refreshment in Nagar Valley and drive back to Hunza for a night’s stay.

This area is perfect for skiing in the winter or hiking in the summer. Be prepared for bumpy jeep tracks, so consider bringing motion sickness medication. If you are visiting in winter, make sure to pack very warm clothing, as temperatures can drop below -10°C. Even in summer, it is wise to pack warm layers as mountain weather can change rapidly. Overnight stay in Gilgit City.

Kick off your adventure to Fairy Meadows. After reaching Raikot Bridge, hop on local jeeps for a thrilling ride to Fairy Meadows. Then, make your way to Tattu village, where you can choose to trek or ride horses toward the stunning Fairy Meadows. Spend the night soaking in the serene beauty of Fairy Meadows.

Set out to explore Beyal Camp, where you can opt for trekking or horseback riding. For those interested, a visit to the Nanga Parbat viewpoint is available (optional). Make sure to return to Fairy Meadows before sunset to enjoy the peaceful evening. Overnight stay at Fairy Meadows.

Begin your trek back to Tattu Village, where jeeps will be waiting to take you back to Raikot Bridge. Afterward, set off for Chillas, with brief stops at Astak Nala and the Junction Point of three magnificent mountain ranges: Karakoram, Hindukush, and Himalaya. Arrive in Chillas by evening and enjoy a cozy night’s stay.

Check out of the hotel after a delicious breakfast. Travel towards Besham or Naran via the Karakoram Highway (the 8th wonder). Reach Besham or Naran at night and transfer to the hotel after dinner.

Take a morning flight from Gilgit back to Islamabad, weather permitting. On your final day, visit the Shah Faisal Mosque (note that women are required to wear headscarves) and treat yourself to dinner at Monal Restaurant for spectacular city views.

Our Northern Pakistan tour package starts in the morning as we pick up our guests from their respective locations. Our driver will be waiting for you at Islamabad Airport or the railway station. After a warm welcome, check in to your hotel. Later in the evening, we’ll embark on a short city tour of Islamabad, which will include stops at the Faisal Mosque, Pir Sohawa, Daman-e-Koh, Lok Virsa, and the Pakistan Monument.

Drop off at Islamabad Airport to fly back to your hometown. Plan 90 minutes for your airport transfer on the day of your departure, as traffic can be heavy. End of services.
