The top of the pass is completely clear, with no houses or hotels—just open ground suitable for camping. Some areas are covered with snow and rocks, so caution is advised, as they can be slippery and may cause severe injuries.
The ideal time to visit Babusar Pass is from mid-June to late September. July and August are the best months as the roads are in good condition and the weather is more stable.
Dudipatsar Lake, also referred to as Dudipat Lake, is surrounded by snow-covered peaks within Lulusar-Dudipatsar National Park. It is situated at the northern end of the Kaghan Valley in Mansehra District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

From there, take a 4×4 jeep track to Sharan. This jeep track starts from Paras, a small town on the Kaghan-Babusar Road.
Jeeps are available for rent from Kiwai and Paras, costing around 8000-12000 PKR per jeep, depending on whether you stay overnight or return the same day.
Sharan Waterfall is a 45-minute to 1-hour downhill hike from Sharan Camping Pods. A muddy, steep track leads to the waterfall, which falls into the Kunhar River. The trail is not well-paved, so it’s advisable to hire a local guide if you’re going for the first time. It is a beginner-level trek.
At the waterfall, the crystal-clear water of the Kunhar River, chirping birds, thick forest trees, and calm surroundings will give you a heavenly feeling.
Manshi Top is at the border of the Allai Valley and the Kaghan Valley, at an altitude of 9000 ft. A 2-3 hour steep hike through dense Sharan Forest leads to Manshi Top. There are multiple treks, so take a local guide if you go for the first time. It is a beginner-level trek.
