Murree is the most developed and well-known hill station in Pakistan, situated at an elevation of 6000-7000 feet above sea level. It is about a one-hour drive from Islamabad via a well-maintained, winding alpine road, attracting visitors throughout the year. The views are stunning, with a cool climate in summer and refreshingly cold weather in winter.
When comparing Murree and Nathia Gali, Nathia Gali tends to attract fewer tourists in the summer due to its limited size and accommodation options, even though it is just an hour away and offers more recreational activities.
Nathia Gali is a well-liked tourist spot in Pakistan, celebrated for its stunning landscapes, historical landmarks, and hiking paths.
The optimal time to visit Murree is from October to November because of the pleasant overall climate, and it is less likely to be crowded since it falls outside the peak travel season. In the summer, temperatures in Murree can soar up to 34℃ (93℉).
Historically, the peak snowfall in Murree usually happens between late December and mid-January. Those months offer the best opportunity for travelers who want to experience fresh, powdery snow while taking in the iconic vistas of Murree.
