2. Gabin Jabba

Gabin Jabba, located in Swat, is an area of extraordinary beauty surrounded by breathtaking landscapes. It converts into a snowy wonderland during winter and provides a refreshing escape during summer.
Its picturesque location is just 60 kilometers from Mingora and just 20 kilometers from Matta Bazaar in Swat. It is at an altitude of 8,471 feet above sea level. This idyllic haven awes travelers every year with its beauty, charms them, and steals their hearts as they leave with memories of it.

The region is also in the center of Daral Lake, and Saidgai Lake offers adventurers thrilling trekking opportunities. As its name suggests, Gabin Jabba is a fusion of two Pashto words, Gabin meaning honey and Jabba meaning marsh. Hence, the ‘marsh of honey’ is named because of its stunning scenery.

The region provides visitors with the chance to see dense forests and lush green pastures, all framed by towering mountains. Streams of crystal-clear water, cascading waterfalls, and refreshing springs are among the many attractions of the valley. “Many natural wonders in this valley make it truly exceptional.”

A camping pod is a small wooden structure designed for holiday accommodation and includes all amenities.
The pods in Gabin Jabba had warm blankets, and solar panels supplied electricity, explaining Naz, adding there were also fans installed in summer.

In the same way, Jamil Akhtar, who visited the area with his family, said the deluxe camping pods offered “cozy and affordable overnight refuges.” Our reservations online for the camping pods inspired us by the cozy environment.”

Near Lalko village, there is also a parking space. Upper Swat Development Authority recently refurbished the wooden pods following floods in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Upper Swat Development Authority Director General Asif Shahab said the pod rehabilitation initiative paved the way to “discovering this paradise.”

I see Gabin Jabba as just another tourist attraction. According to him, it is the crown jewel of Swat. According to the official, his department aims to discover such pristine spots, make them easily accessible for tourists, and promote tourism growth.
