4. Mahudand Lake

It is in the upper Usho Valley, Kalam, district of Swat, Pakistan. Among the most beautiful lakes in the world, Mahudand Lake is one of the most picturesque. April through September are the best months to visit this site. A visit to the glaciers between June and August offers a chance to appreciate the lush landscape and breathe in the fresh air.

Mahudand Lake is situated at 2,865 meters above sea level and is surrounded by dense woods and meadows. The banks of the lake are lined with pine trees, which enhance its beauty. Lake water is incredibly cool, and the views are simply stunning.

The lake primarily receives water from glaciers melting in the Hindu Kush mountains and nearby springs, while a major left tributary of the River Swat flows through it.

A heavy layer of snow covers the ice and snow-covered lake during the winter. It is very popular with tourists in summer to enjoy some cheerful moments with their loved ones on the shores of this lake. There are also activities that tourists engage in that are adventurous, such as fishing, boating, and camping.

An individual can travel by 4×4 Jeep or by private car to the lake from Kalam. It is recommended to hire a 4×4 Jeep for a trip to the lake.
